Touching Trees Disclaimer

As a novice writer/blogger I sincerely hope that people aren’t terribly offended by some of the content within my writings (language, abuse, etc.). Also, writers generally put a little bit of themselves in their work, in some shape or form; but I assure you that this story is completely fictional. So, if you feel you see yourself somewhere in this storyline and you are coming off in a bad way, well, first of all, shame on you. But rest assured it isn’t you.

Please keep in mind that if the language offends you, that abusers don’t usually say “Please” and “Thank you” to those they are abusing; many abusers will tell you, very convincingly, that you are a horrible person if you act a certain way, speak a certain way and even THINK a certain way. It is perfectly okay for them to do as they please and when they please and they don’t expect you to call them out on it. It is a double standard, as “What is good for the Gander isn’t necessarily good for the Goose.” Abusers are manipulative, controlling and charming at times.  An abuser can come off as the “good guy” to everyone around him and be horrible monster in private with the abused.  So if the language used within this story offends you, I apologize, but I am simply trying to be honest and show what really happens behind the “good guy” exterior.

So with that being said, I repeat:
This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
